FirstTrack is Now Live on the Shopify App Store
FirstTrack is now available on the Shopify App Store. Any Shopify merchant can install it in one click — no code, no theme edits, no tag manager — and start sending server-side conversion events to all six major ad platforms.
This is the Shopify counterpart to our WooCommerce plugin on WordPress.org: the same server-side tracking engine, the same 10-tier attribution, the same six platforms. Install from the App Store, connect your ad accounts, and the numbers your campaigns optimize on start matching the orders in your Shopify admin.
The gap it closes
Every Shopify merchant running paid ads has seen it: Meta reports one ROAS, your Shopify admin reports another, and the two never line up. The reason is that the browser pixels Meta, TikTok, Google and the rest rely on have been losing visibility for years.
Apple's iOS 14.5 update started it in 2021, and Safari Intelligent Tracking Prevention, ad blockers, and Apple Mail Privacy Protection have continued it since. When a pixel can't fire — or fires with the order stripped of identifiers — your ad platform never learns that the click it sold you turned into a sale. Your campaigns optimize on a partial, shrinking view of reality.
Server-side tracking fixes this by capturing every order on Shopify's side, bypassing the browser entirely, and forwarding the purchase to each ad platform through its official Conversions API. The conversions you actually got are the conversions your campaigns get to see.
What FirstTrack does on Shopify
FirstTrack installs as a standard Shopify app and wires up the full server-side path for you:
- Installs a Web Pixel and a lightweight storefront script that capture ad click identifiers (
fbclid,ttclid,gclid,epik,sccid,twclid) into first-party cookies as visitors land - Registers an
orders/createwebhook so every Shopify order reaches FirstTrack the moment it's placed — no reliance on the customer's browser to report it - Matches each order to its originating click with a 10-tier attribution engine that assigns a per-order confidence score, so you can see why a sale was attributed, not just that it was
- Forwards the purchase to all six configured ad platforms server-to-server — Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, Snapchat, and X — each through the platform's official Conversions API
- Supports custom tracking domains via CNAME, so first-party cookies survive Safari's 7-day cap and persist for up to 400 days
No third-party SDKs are bundled into your storefront. Click data lives in first-party cookies; purchase events are sent from the server to each ad platform directly.
Installing takes about five minutes
- Install from the App Store: open apps.shopify.com/firsttrack, click Add app, and approve the install. FirstTrack sets up the Web Pixel and order webhook automatically.
- Add your ad platforms: in the FirstTrack dashboard, paste your pixel IDs and Conversions API tokens for Meta, TikTok, Google and any others you run. Each step has a "where do I find this" guide.
- Verify: browse your storefront once, then place a test order. The dashboard confirms events are flowing — usually within seconds.

Plans scale with your order volume, not your feature access. Every plan includes all six platforms and the full attribution engine.
